Oberlin Shop

String Instrument & Bow Sales & Service

Oberlin Shop edited.jpgThis new shop space opened September 1, 2010, and is located in downtown Oberlin, a short walk from Tappan Square and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.  Rodney D. Mohr and Terry Carlin of Carlin Violins share shop space with Credo, a Christian non-profit chamber music organization. Rodney will service the bow needs of students, faculty, staff and visiting musicians while Terry fulfills their string instrument needs by providing accessories and string instrument repairs. Instruments and bows for sale will be available by request.

Three partners formed Sustainable Community Associates and raised some $15 million for their East College Street project, which comprises three buildings, 33 condos, 20,000 feet of commercial space, a green courtyard, and numerous advanced resource-conserving features on a walkable, transit-accessible site in a part of downtown Oberlin that is becoming a budding arts district. This building is fully handicap-accessible and provides ample handicap parking.

Rodney's  services are available every Wednesday.  Walk-ins from 12-2pm.  Do not drop off bows before noon. After 2pm by appointment only.  Rehairs must be paid at time of drop off.

An appointment will ensure prompt service and completion by 2pm. Please Contact Us for more information or to Schedule an Appointment.
