Rehairs

Has the hair on the bow turned dark near the frog?

Does the hair droop below the stick when it is loosened?

Does the hair not tighten when the screw is turned?

All of these problems may indicate that a bow is ready for a fresh rehair. We recommend that a bow be rehaired at least once annually, more often for professional musicians. All rehairs are performed with the highest quality materials available.

If the hair won't tighten, it could be an indication that the screw has stripped the eyelet or the hair is simply too long. Should the screw have stripped the eyelet, it can be a simple repair to replace the eyelet.

If the hair is too long, the frog may not be able to move any further back in the track.
